April 2025: Spring Reconnection and Life Update

A Springtime Hello

Hello,

I hope you had a wonderful Easter and that the long weekend gave you a chance to relax and enjoy the start of spring.

As we welcome the fresh beginnings that Easter symbolizes, I wanted to reconnect and share some updates from my world. I’d love to hear what’s new with you too.

Family Update

Laura and I celebrated a major milestone last year: 47 years together. With our three daughters all grown up and living on their own, we’ve officially become empty nesters.

Here’s what the girls are up to:

• Alicia, our eldest and two-time Olympian sprinter, got married in summer 2023 to a wonderful young man, Jordan King. We are thrilled to welcome him into our family.
• Savannah continues to do amazing work with autistic and developmentally challenged youngsters at the school board. We love seeing her make such a meaningful difference.
• Channel, our youngest, is thriving as a marketing director for a Toronto company called Spirit of York. She has also launched her own jewelry line, a perfect fit for her creative spirit.

Personal and Business Notes

I’m still playing music with my band, The Bed Rockers. We keep the classic rock, funk, and reggae alive. I’ve also been staying active with gym sessions, cycling, and enjoying tennis, golf, and skating with Laura.

On the business side, we’re thrilled to celebrate six successful years with Exit Excel Realty and look forward to serving the community for many more.

Family-wise, my folks are still going strong in their mid-80s, and we’re grateful for their health. This year, Laura and I hope to do more traveling, starting with Jamaica to spend time with family and explore the island, and then a Europe trip in the fall.
